Introduction

Not long after I started my Snarky Sims blog, a discussion thread came up on the Prosperity Challenge Yahoo Group about Hysterical Paroxysm's Uber-Megahood. This awesome Sim Goddess took all of the Maxis-made hoods (including Apartment Life's Belladonna Cove) and combined them into one neighborhood. Now the Goths can hang out with the Capps Downtown. I was excited to play with this neighborhood. My Snarky blog is based on each individual neighborhood, not the combined Uber-hood. If only I had known about it before I started... I was also feeling a little bit bad about my posting speed on the Snarky blog because I was blogging a neighborhood per post. I thought maybe if I blogged a household per post, I could post more frequently. So the Mega Maxis blog will follow the traditional prosperity style of one Sim household per Sim week. This isn't really a prosperity blog. It actually has an Alphabet Legacy twist. All is explained in the first post about the Goths.

Please be patient with me if the posts get scarce. I'm two months away from my wedding and I'm behind in my planning. My wedding was nearly six months ago, and I'm still writing Thank You cards!  I really do enjoy blogging because it's gotten my creative juices flowing again. Also, I am not planning on getting the Sims 3 (I don't want my marriage over before it starts),so this blog will not disappear in June.

I am heavily inspired by Rachel's Prosperity Point and Mary's Tranquility Bay blogs. I love their blogging style, especially how they label the Sims in their pictures because it helps you keep track of who is who. I also like how they post the family photos at the beginning and end of each round.

Thank you for taking time to read my blog and please feel free to leave comments. Happy simming!

Edit  10/4/2009: Ok, so I did get Sims 3, but this blog is still not going away!

  1. Hi snarkysims! Just wanted to drop a note saying I love how you're playing your megahood! Your narrator's voice is too funny (real snarky!), and that alphabet twist really puts a crinkle in everyone's lovelife - I've already read your Goth & Lothario posts and am looking forward to the rest of the families.
